As an architect, I just love Mid-century modern especially new-builds that have upgraded this unique style for the 21st century.

The open floor plan is the defining feature of mid-century modern homes.

They encourage conversation, shared moments and they serve as an epitome of contemporary design by spreading a strong feeling of openness and visual freedom.

A significant benefit of having an open floor plan is the amount of natural light that fills your home…

…changes mood…

…spread a calming and relaxing effect…

…making your house feels bigger…

…brighter, and cozier.

It helps you breathe more freely and leaves more room for shared high-frequency activities.

An open plan kitchen can accommodate a large number of guests allowing them to socialize without separating or getting in the way of each other.

In addition, it promotes an adequate line of sight for children, allowing parents to easily monitor children while preparing meals.

Another aspect of open space is its sheer aesthetic value. Well-designed open-concept kitchens can have a truly impressive appeal, creates emotion and communicates a lively lifestyle.

Now who wouldn’t like to live in a space like that?!
